This Tuesday, May 13th, Pro-VTT organized a maintenance day in collaboration with the municipality of Ayent. The objective 🎯: to restore two key sections of the trail network. Thanks to perfect weather ☀️ and a highly motivated team of volunteers, the mission was accomplished with flying colors!
A major cleanup and a good shovelful 🛠️
The first section concerned was a little-used but essential section to ensure the continuity of the network. Dead wood, fallen branches, and natural obstacles had to be cleared to bring this forgotten section back to life.
The second section, well-known to riders 🚵♀️, was suffering from its success: deep ruts, traces of erosion, poorly managed water flow... Don't panic, the team has everything under control! Filling holes, reshaping the trail, and creating water drainage channels 💧: essential technical interventions to ensure the trail's durability and user safety.
Awareness-raising bonus
In an effort to promote respectful coexistence between users, the association has also installed several awareness panels along the trails. Their purpose? Encourage courtesy and mutual respect between mountain bikers and hikers 👣🤝🚵♂️
Because a well-placed stop accompanied by a smile can make all the difference ✌️

Between pickaxes, laughter breaks, and a few sunburns ☀️😅, the atmosphere was at its best! The result: two transformed sections, smoother, cleaner, and ready to welcome users in optimal conditions.

Trails don't maintain themselves! Without these regular days organized by Pro-VTT, and without the valuable support of the municipalities 🤝, our beautiful playground would quickly deteriorate. Every action contributes to preserving the quality of our trails, promoting coexistence between users 🚶♂️🚵♀️ and enhancing our natural heritage 🏔️.
